Cubicoff and SOLAR MEMS Technologies lead the development of an optical ground support system for satellite testing under the European In Transit call…
The project, underway since July 2022, investigates the applicability and advantages of the use of metal additive manufacturing (SLM technology) in the medical sector through the personalized manufacturing of grade 5 titanium lumbar implants (Ti6Al4v) applying Lattice design techniques. and porous structures. The project is carried out through a consortium made up of four companies (Cubicoff, Grupo Sevilla Control, Arsoft and Element) and an innovative business group, Andalucía Aerospace Cluster.
Cubicoff Ingeniería Abierta participates in the H2020 NEWFRAC project, which consists of a doctoral program on the calculation and analysis of microfractures with a duration of 36 months. In this program, students will have intersectoral and international training in leading laboratories and companies throughout Europe.
On the part of Cubicoff, different simulations have been carried out using finite elements to analyze the behavior of the study part of the project.
In the first place, the matrix of cases and load situations to be simulated during a machining
process, which is carried out using CNC technology, has been defined. From these analyzes, stresses and displacements of the simulated parts have been obtained to know their state in the CNC machining process.
