Cubicoff opens new office in Morocco and strengthens its international presence

With a firm commitment to expanding its presence in North Africa, Cubicoff announces the opening of its new office in Casablanca, Morocco. This move responds to the company’s sustained growth in the country, where it has already developed strategic projects in the mining and water sectors.

The new office will operate under the leadership of Loubna Ahayoumen, Country Manager for the region, aiming to deliver high-value industrial engineering and architecture solutions to both Moroccan companies and Spanish firms with current or future operations in Morocco. The focus is on reinforcing critical infrastructure, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with international quality and safety standards.

Among its most recent projects, Cubicoff has played a key role in the development of the Zgounder silver mine, owned by AYA Gold & Silver Mining, in collaboration with multinational Duro Felguera. In this project, the company led the review of the conceptual engineering and the basic and detailed design of tanks, structures, and systems associated with pre-aeration and leach tanks. The intervention included six large tanks, a structural platform for agitators, and water distribution systems. A second phase is currently underway, focusing on equipment design in the ball mill area.

In the water sector, Cubicoff provided critical support to the Agadir desalination plant, Morocco’s largest facility for combined drinking and irrigation water use. The company delivered detailed engineering assistance in piping and support during the IFB (Issued For Bid), IFP (Issued For Procurement), and IFC (Issued For Construction) phases, ensuring a robust technical solution aligned with international standards.

In addition, at the Tighza mine operated by Compagnie Minière de Touissit, Cubicoff is conducting a thorough technical analysis of the electrical and mechanical hoisting systems that power extraction equipment. This intervention covers more than 20 pieces of equipment at varying depths —up to 1100 meters— to verify compliance with European regulations and, if applicable, support CE certification, reinforcing safety, sustainability, and operational continuity.

The opening of this new office reinforces our commitment to sustainable development in key regions. Morocco represents a strategic opportunity to apply our comprehensive engineering approach and deliver long-term value to our clients,” said David Pérez Sigüenza, CEO of Cubicoff.

Loubna Ahayoumen, Country Manager in Morocco, added: “Our local presence allows us to support our clients more closely, offering tailored technical solutions that are efficient and aligned with international regulations. Cubicoff is here to stay and grow alongside Morocco’s development.”

With this expansion, Cubicoff reaffirms its vision of borderless engineering, bringing its expertise and technical capabilities beyond limits.
