Cubicoff Ingeniería Abierta participated last weekend in the VI Andalusian Project Managers Congress in the Excelencia Promálaga Building in Malaga. Cubicoff, a platinum sponsor of PMI Andalusia, played a relevant role in the congress, which aimed to generate debate on the current situation and the challenges that artificial intelligence poses to project management.
The event began with the presentation “The Challenges of AI in Project Management: Current Situation and Future Perspectives” by Antonio Nieto-Rodríguez. This was followed by a round table discussion on the new challenges that artificial intelligence is imposing on project management, moderated by Agnieska Gasperini, member of the Board of Directors of the Project Management Institute.
In the poster section, a new initiative was born at last year’s congress. Cubicoff presented a poster on the IMPULSO project. The project investigated the applicability and advantages of using metal additive manufacturing (SLM technology) in the medical sector through the customized fabrication of grade 5 titanium (Ti6Al4v) lumbar implants using Lattice design techniques and porous structures. After the presentations of the different posters, the members of PMI Andalucía voted for the best ones, and Cubicoff’s sign was among the top three.
After all the active congress activities, farewell and closing of the day took place, with a magnificent lunch where there was time for networking among professionals and companies from different fields.
The Project Management Institute (PMI) is the leading international organization that brings together professionals in Project Management and Project Management, with its chapter in Andalusia bringing together project managers from all Andalusian provinces. It has over 200 members and almost 2,000 certified professionals in the autonomous community.
The Annual Congress usually brings together, in person, more than 100 professional project managers from Andalusia from various productive sectors (IT, architecture and construction, engineering…) and has become one of the annual events of reference at the regional level for Project Managers.
